CTC CouldĀ Reduce Gun Violence Deaths in Children (ABC News)

Margaret Kuklinski, Director of The Center for Communities that Care, shared comments with ABC News to discuss the newly published study highlighting prevention work done by Communities That Care. This study highlights the effect of CTC on adolescents’ handgun-carrying in rural areas. UW Researchers conducted a study of more than 4,000 adolescents across 24 communities in seven states. By the 12th grade, adolescents in CTC Communities were 24% less likely to report having a handgun than those in communities without the program.
