Join the Center for CTC staff to discuss what the 2023 National Academy of Science consensus report “Social Media and Adolescent Health” advises regarding Social Media and Screen Time for young people. We will explore what the report tells us about what we currently know (and don’t know) regarding impacts of social media and screen time on adolescent health, as well as discuss what CTC Coalitions may want to share in regards to these ideas.
OBJECTIVES:
- Be able to identify some of the potential harms and benefits of social media use and online spaces
- Select some potential messages for the coalition to share related to youth safety for social media and online spaces
- Identify types of resources the coalition may want to share with their communities related to social media and online spaces
